***Mike Collier on Democratic Lt. Governor Nomination***

Austin, TX — TODAY, March 8, 2018, Mike Collier celebrates his Democratic primary victory and nomination to represent the party in the 2018 Texas Lt. Governor election.

Interesting Data From Primary Night

-Patrick’s primary opponent endorsed the Collier Campaign on facebook (https://www.facebook.com/scottmilder4TXLG/)

-More primary voters voted against Dan Patrick than for the incumbent

-Voters in Travis county preferred Collier over Patrick by a 3-1 margin

Collier had the following to say after his primary victory:

“You can officially call this a close race. The data shows that Texans are clearly unhappy with our opponent. Despite spending millions to secure his nomination, Texas supports change in the Lt. Governor’s office.”

“Over the next several months we will prove and show voters how Dan Patrick is responsible for their ever-increasing property tax bills, despite that being his sole reason for coming to Austin in the first place.”

“I look forward to having any and all policy discussions with Dan, provided he’s Texan enough to have an honest conversation about his record as Lt. Governor.”
